Short biography of Sachin Tendulkar

    

The great Indian Cricket player ,Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar was born on April 23,1973 at the Nirmal Nursing Home in Dadar,Mumbai.His father was one of the most famous novelist of Maharashtra, Sri Ramesh Tendulkar.His mother  Rajni was an insurance professional.His father named Sachin in honour  to the great Bengali musician Sachin Deb Barman.

He was the youngest  among 4 siblings elder brothers Nitin and Ajit and elder sister Savita.Ajit Tendulkar has a great roll in sachin’s being a great cricketer. Sachin’s school Sharadashram Vidyamandir played an important role for his life as a cricketer. This school had a great games teacher Sri Ramakanta Achrekar.As a young kid,Sachin was completelyopposite to how he is nowadays.He was trained by Achrekar who did n’t falter to recognize the talent of the boy.

After playing 79 matches,he scored his first ODI century against Newzealand.In the 1996 world cup he was the top run scorer.It was his time to rise.In 1997 he was elected captain but was not successful.

While playing for his school team Tendulkar got the attention of the Mumbai cricket world as a future possible star.At the age of 15,he got the attention of all India sports media by making an unbeaten partnership of 644 runs with his friend Vinod Kambli which was a world record. In 1988 at the age of 15 he played for the Mumbai Ronji Trophy Team .Sachin played his first test match against Pakistan in Karchi in 1989 at the age of 16. Tendulkar scored his first test century against England in 1990 at Old Trafford. Tendulkar was getting success in subsequent matches. But he became famous as a hard hitter batsmen who was good for a quick 40-50 runs. After playing 79 matches he scored his first ODI century against New Zealand !

In the 1996 world cup he was the top run scorer. It was his time to rise. In 1997 he was elected captain but was not successful.In 2003 World cuphe scored 673  runs and it was highly praised by all. In 10^th December 2005 he scored his record breaking 35^th test century against Sri Lanka. Tendulkar is the first batsmen in the game of cricket to score 100 international centuries. Sachin is considered as one of the all-time greats in the history of cricket. Tendulkar is great because years after years he is taking the pressure of being the best batsmen of the team and performing accordingly. He got numerous awards in his career,some of them are Padma Vibhusan,Padma Shri, Arjuna Award by Govt. of India etc.
